The
Order
The
Order is a worldwide subversive organization dedicated to
global domination. At its height, The Order was the most extensive,
powerful, and dangerous such organization in history. The
Order is run by an organization of brilliant scientists and
rich and powerful power-brokers and their hirelings dedicated
to the acquisition of power and the overthrow of all governments
by any means.
The
Order prides itself on its ability to regroup and rebuild
itself, allegedly mightier than before, after any major defeat.
Indeed, the organization has now endured for over four decades.
In recent years, The Order was reorganized under radically
different lines by unknown criminals, presumably American.
Although this new Order has worldwide influence, it seems
centered in the United States to a far greater extent than
it ever was in earlier years. As always, The Order is dedicated
to world domination.
This
current Order is organized along the lines of a major contemporary
corporation. Agents can work full time or part time for the
organization. They are paid high salaries and receive medical
and other benefits. The Order now recruits many ordinary American
citizens into its organization as a result. Enticed by the
financial rewards, these citizens blind themselves to the
full extent of The Order’s criminal and subversive nature.
Of course, even within the new Order, failure in a major assignment
is punishable by death. It is not known who the current Supreme
Commander is.
Technology
Katana
It
is called the Blade of Shadows. Believed by many to be the
most formidable bladed weapon ever forged. It is forged from
a titanium alloy and an unknown carbon amalgam. Its blade
is cut from a laser-shearing process so complicated that it
took five years to complete. Its weight and balance are unprecedented.
But what makes the Blade of Shadows such a feared weapon is
not merely its indestructible laser sharp blade, but its hilt.
For encased within the hilt lays a technological marvel; a
miniaturized, computerized, gyroscope that increases the force
of the blade’s swing ten-fold for every inch it moves.
The
Shadow is believed to be the creation of the now-dead smith
Sumihira Kashima, who was famous for the craftsmanship of
his work. Although there are no markings or definitive touches
of workmanship that identify Shadow as the work of Kashima,
all is speculation.
The
Blade of Shadows was held for years in the possession of Jarl
Fury (of the now disbanded House Fury), but its location was
lost years ago when Jarl was slain by an unknown assassin
and his House was overthrown.
Power
Gloves
The
Dynar Power-Gloves are what is left of a DOD contract bid
by Dynar Technologies. The original contract called for full
exo-skeleton armor for combat troops. Competing bids pushed
Dynar out of the running and the Power-Gloves are a modification
of that original design. Several hundred pairs were produced
and most have found their way onto the black market.
The
Power-Gloves are based on the Dynamic Designs SuperGyros.
The SuperGyros are miniaturized particle-phase gyroscopes
designed for use in the newest wave of super-sized hovercraft.
Between the SuperGyros and a patented magnetic repulsion system,
the Dynar Power-Gloves give the wearer massive increases to
strength.
Enforcer
Armour
ICS
(International Cyber Systems) knows that the police are on
the run in today’s society. That’s why they created
the Heavy Infantry Enforcer Armor designed especially for
the police and security community. Now available for any police
force, public or private, the Enforcer has become a familiar
sight in cities around the world.
With
street gangs and organized crime becoming better armed all
the time, the Enforcer Armor is well armored, capable of withstanding
almost any small arms fire. When the time comes to get serious,
the Enforcer is more than ready. Enforcer Armor is optioned
with an arm-mounted chain-gun and internal ammo storage that
can carry thousands of rounds of ammunition. Another option
is a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher.
Honshu
XV Hoverbike
The
XV Hoverbike from the Honshu Corporation is the pinnacle in
hovercraft technology. Using a combination of vectored thrust
engines and Dynamic Designs SuperGyros, these are vehicles
that can fly without lifting surfaces (wings or rotors).
The
newest Honshu design utilizes SuperGyros to alleviate lost
jet thrust when the craft is turned on its side or back, thus
giving it superior maneuverability over earlier versions.
For military and security use the XV can be fitted with large
caliber chain-guns and “gutter blades” fitted
on the undercarriage to inflict damage to ground targets during
a fly-over.
Cam-Optics

The Cam-Optics
system or GhostArmor is a suit of full-body armor made of
materials incorporating liquid crystal technology and a multi-faceted
fiber-optic digitization system. Cam-Optics armor actually
blends into its surroundings. Cam-Optics uses its computerized
liquid crystal system to formulate the perfect camouflage
for any situation. The armor’s liquid crystal exterior
is composed of a matrix of cameras and projectors which cover
the body.
